UPDATE: Teen Killed in Meriden Crash Identified

A single vehicle crash in Meriden early Sunday morning left a teenager dead, police said.

Officers responded to the accident at Walnut Grove Cemetery just before 2 a.m. According to police, the car left the roadway and hit several trees causing it to split in half. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified as Hector Sanchez, 19, of Meriden.
