MERIDEN, CT - If you've ever thought about becoming a police officer, the Meriden Police Department is hiring, according to a post on its Facebook page.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and a United States citizen, and also must have a valid driver's license and a valid CHIP (Complete Health & Injury Prevention) card at 50 percent level.
The selection process includes a background check, written exam, physical agility test, oral interview, medical test, psychological evaluation and other requirements.

Other Connecticut police departments that are seeking entry level officers includes Milford, Shelton, Ansonia, Hartford and Montville. Norwalk and Fairfield are among the Connecticut departments seeking certified officer candidates.
