Town Asks For Feedback On Hazard Mitigation

The plan is intended to reduce long-term damage from natural disasters and other potential catastrophes.

MERIDEN, CT - The town is asking for resident feedback on its hazard mitigation plan, which intends to reduce damage caused by natural disasters and other potential catastrophes. A hazard mitigation plans is, according to the town's website, "a tool that helps a community to understand risks and to take specific steps to reduce property damage, injury, and loss of life. An example of such an action was the recent construction of the Meriden Green, which will help decrease the impacts of flooding along Harbor Brook."
