Two Men Wounded in Meriden Drive-By Shooting
The shooting occurred early Wednesday on Randolph Avenue.

MERIDEN, CT - Two men were shot multiple times early Wednesday morning in a drive-by shooting on Randolph Avenue in Meriden, according to police.
Both victims, ages 23 and 27, were treated at Connecticut hospitals following the 12:50 a.m. attack; one has since been released and the other remains hospitalized, his condition unknown. Their identities have not been disclosed.
The incident began with reports of several gunshots near 27 Randolph Ave., according to police. Both men were sitting in a parked car when another car pulled up and someone inside the second car began shooting at the Honda the two victims were sitting in.
When police arrived on the scene, they found the Honda with multiple bullet holes, but both victims had fled to a nearby home where they were discovered and rushed to area hospitals.
"It is not clear how many person(s) were inside of the unidentified vehicle; however, someone from inside of the car fired multiple shots at the Honda," wrote Sgt. Darrin McKay in a statement. "At that time the two victims, who were the only occupants inside of the car, were each struck multiple times. One victim was transported to an out of town hospital while the other was eventually transported via Lifestar to a trauma hospital."
The case remains under investigation, and police are asking that anyone with information regarding the shooting contact Meriden Police Det. John Femia at 203-630-6250.
