Weapons Charges for Meriden Man After Traffic Stop: Police
Police seized more than 300 rounds of ammunition and a high-capacity magazine at the time of the arrest.

MERIDEN, CT — A 28-year-old Meriden man was arrested on weapons charges Monday following a traffic stop on Springdale Avenue by members of the Meriden Police Crime Suppression Unit, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.
Arrested was Christian Perry, of Wayne Lane, who was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Pistol without a Permit, Weapons in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Police said the crime suppression unit was on Springdale Avenue because of suspicious drug activity in the area, when officers spotted Perry at about 3 p.m. and pulled him over.

They soon discovered that Wallingford police had an active warrant for Perry on drug charges, and conducted a search of his vehicle where officers found a .22 caliber pistol, over 300 rounds of ammunition, a high-capacity magazine, and a scale with drug residue.
Perry was taken into custody and held in lieu of a $350,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court this month.
