Woman Allegedly Sexually Assaulted 10-Year-Old Boy in Meriden

A 25-year-old female babysitter has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old Meriden boy.

Marybeth Rataic of Willimantic allegedly had at least three or four incidents where she had sexual contact with the boy in August according to NBC Connecticut.

The boy told police that Rataic would take off her clothes and encourage the sexual contact, according to the arrest warrant. The boy’s mother became suspicious after she noticed a hickey on his neck.

Rataic denied the allegations and said the boy forced himself on her.

Rataic has been charged with three counts of first-degree sexual assault and numerous counts of risk of injury to a child.
