Worker Dies in Meriden Tree-Trimming Incident
Frank Cline was doing tree work for Connecticut Light and Power when he was struck by a swinging limb.
A man died in Meriden after he was struck Monday by a tied-off limb that swung after it was cut.
Meriden police are calling the incident a work-related accident, according to a Meriden Police Department news release.
Frank Cline, 26, of Dover Plains, New York, was doing tree work Monday for Connecticut Light and Power at Lanouette Street and Lanouette Street Extension, according to the release.

Officers on the scene said Cline had been hit in the head by a swinging limb that was cut by another worker. Cline reportedly fell to the ground. The limb landed on him, hitting him in the upper body.
Cline was brought to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he later died.
