This service is built around the song Love Rescue Me as sung by the Omagh Community Youth Choir, a choir formed to foster healing and reconciliation after a terrible August 1998 bombing in the city of Omagh, Northern Ireland. The congregation will hear this story of the song, hear the words as a reading, and listen to the Omagh Choir record of the song as meditative music. We will learn to sing the song and reflect on those moments when only grace can help us make it through. In addition, we will explore how singing together can help us create a loving community that embraces all in grace and acceptance.
