Worship Service at Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden

"Credo, Credimus"
Worship leader:   Rev. Dr. Jan Carlsson-Bull / Molly Nolan

As Unitarian Universalists we commonly describe ourselves as non-creedal.  This doesn’t mean that we don’t believe anything.   Credo is Latin for “I believe.”  Credimus is Latin for “We believe.” Creed refers to a hard and fast set of beliefs-that is, dogma.   We simply believe what we believe through our individual and communal filters of experience and understanding. Within our living tradition, what we believe is never hard and fast, but textured and living. Come celebrate with the entire congregation how our 7th-9th graders have distilled their beliefs over the past year and share their “credo statements” in a compelling rite of passage on this Coming of Age Sunday.
