2 New School Principals Now On Board At Schools In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The second of two new principals at schools in Middletown began her tenure this week.

The first began last month.

Peter Fragola started as Principal of Snow Elementary School on Dec. 11. Fragola brought with him more than 20 years experience in education, including roles as an elementary school teacher, assistant principal, and, most recently, as a school principal in the Norwich public school system.

Norma Delara began as principal at Bielefield Elementary School Tuesday. Her career has spanned two decades, including as an elementary and secondary school teacher, middle school assistant principal, and, most recently, as an elementary school principal in the New London public school system.

"We are confident that both Mr. Fragola and Ms. Delara will bring their extensive experience, exemplary leadership skills, and a deep passion for education to their new roles," Middletown Superintendent of Schools Alberto Vázquez Matos said. "We eagerly anticipate the positive impact they will have on our students, staff, and the broader school communities."
