MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown company has issued a voluntary recall for thousands of bottles of a dietary supplement sold nationwide.
The recall was issued due to undeclared egg, soy, and hazelnut allergens, according to the federal Food and Drug Administration.

In addition to Connecticut, the recalled products were sold online in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Blueroot said consumers should discontinue the use of the recalled products immediately and return them to the company for a replacement.
