MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown company has issued a voluntary recall for thousands of bottles of a dietary supplement sold nationwide.

The recall was issued due to undeclared egg, soy, and hazelnut allergens, according to the federal Food and Drug Administration.

Blueroot Health was founded in 2018. It operates a platform of premium, science-backed nutraceutical brands, including Vital Nutrients, Bariatric Fusion, Fairhaven Health, Unjury, and Hyperbiotics.   • Expiration date: 5/27

The 200-count bottles have the following information:

  • Expiration date: 5/27

In addition to Connecticut, the recalled products were sold online in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Blueroot said consumers should discontinue the use of the recalled products immediately and return them to the company for a replacement.
