Police were summoned to the scene around 4:12 p.m. on Monday.

Police said the driver of the car fled the scene after being picked up by another vehicle.

The car’s passenger initially told officers she was driving the vehicle that struck the motorcycle, according to police.

However, investigators obtained video of the crash, and police determined a male was driving the car, with a female passenger, police said.

Both the car’s driver and passenger were arrested.

The car driver, Marco Jefferson Chamorro Cordova, 19, is charged with second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer, driving under the influence, evading responsibility in an accident with serious physical injuries, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and failure to grant the right of way at an intersection.

The passenger, Diana Anton Peralta, 21, is charged with interfering with an officer.
