Connex Credit Union recently donated $571.93 to MARC: Community Resources, based in Middletown, Connecticut. The money for this donation came from the fees collected by a coin-cashing machine in the credit union’s Wallingford Branch. Connex charges a five percent fee to members and a seven percent fee to non-members and donates the money collected to caring organizations in the community.
MARC: Community Resources is a 57-year-old organization that empowers adults and children with developmental disabilities. MARC serves more than 200 people in residential, vocational, recreation, and children’s programs throughout Middlesex, New Haven and Hartford County.
“We are very grateful for the generosity of Connex and our donors that supported this effort,” said Elizabeth Warner, President/CEO at MARC. “These funds will go directly to support our critically important leisure skill and respite programs for adults and children with developmental disabilities.”
