Annual Water Main Flushing Program Underway In Middletown
Temporary discolored, or cloudy water could be a routine occurrence for those within the immediate area during the operation, officials said
MIDDLETOWN, CT — The City of Middletown Water Department continues the state-mandated annual water main flushing program, which began the week of March 21.
Flushing will occur during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The flushing program will start with the Westfield and the South Fire Districts and then move toward the Middletown Central Fire District. The Downtown Area will be flushed last along with the Cimarron Road, Randolph Road, and Long Hill high pressure zones.
Please note that the duration of the flushing program is impacted by weather conditions and is anticipated to last 10 to 12 weeks.
