Police found that there was an active protective order between Mills and the woman and that Mills was not to assault, threaten, abuse, harass, follow interfere with or stalk the woman.

Mills was placed under arrest and taken to headquarters for processing.

Once there he allegedly became unruly and combative and kicked a door in the booking area. His kick broke a latch and rendered the door out of service, according to police.

Police spoke to the woman again who said Mills had consumed alcohol and was shoving her around, according to police.

Mills was charged with violation of a protective order, breach of peace, third-degree criminal mischief and failure to submit to fingerprinting.
