Auriemma, Charles Given Keys to City at Chamber Breakfast
The longtime coach of the UConn Girls Basketball was there to honor Connecticut Sun center Tina Charles.

Mayor Sebastian Giuliano proclaimed this Tina Charles Day in Middletown, after the Connecticut Sun center and her coach Gino Auriemma were the featured guests at the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Cromwell.
Charles, former Lady Huskies player, WNBA's 2010 rookie of the year with the Connecticut Sun, and a center for USA Basketball, also received keys to the city of Middletown and town of Cromwell, along with Auriemma at the chamber's monthly breakfast Friday.
The 6-foot-four-inch Jamaica, N.Y., native, according to the UConn Huskies, "has posted 20 or more points 18 times in her career, including 10 times as a junior, has 38 career double-doubles, including 12 as a junior, became the fourth-fastest player in UConn history to reach the 1,000-point milestone (75 games) in season-opener vs. Georgia Tech."
