MIDDLETOWN, CT — Video surveillance cameras caught a bandit sneaking into the kitchen at a new restaurant in Middletown and making himself something to eat.

The Wednesday night incident took place at about 6:30 during a training session at Haven Hot Chicken. It is set to stage a grand opening at 524 Main St. Saturday.

Owners posted a video of the incident on social media and asked anyone who recognizes the person to contact the restaurant.

The surveillance cameras show a man sneak into the kitchen through the back, look around and then make a chicken sandwich. He then flaunts his accomplishment at the camera and takes a bite before leaving.
