Baseball Bat Assault Ends With Arrest of Middletown Man: Police
A man allegedly struck someone twice in the head, police said.

At approximately midnight Sunday, Oct. 25, Middletown police were called to 13 Glover Place, where they observed 39-year-old Edward R. Salz with a baseball bat in hand.
According to the Hartford Courant, Salz allegedly hit a victim twice. One of those times, he allegedly hit the victim on the head.
Two children belonging to Salz reportedly saw the alleged assault. He was charged with:

- Possession of a dangerous weapon
- First-degree assault
- Disorderly conduct
- Risk of injury to a minor, two counts
Salz allegedly hit a woman and choked her earlier in the same day. Regarding that incident. he was charged with four counts of risk of injury, among other charges.
This is not the first time Salz has been arrested.
