MIDDLETOWN BOARD OF EDUCATION
My name is Bill Perkins, and I'm running for the Board of Education. I am a father of 6 children from 9 to 24 years old, and all of them have either attended or are currently attending the Middletown Public School District. I was raised right here in Middletown, and I also went through our Middletown School System. I'm a Blue-collar kind of guy, (A Truck driver), and I'm
a father concerned for the education that my kids are getting. I'm not a politician by any means.
I'm a parent that believes we need to have more transparency between the school district and the parents in the community.
The Safety of our children is at the top of my priority list, especially since we have had so many fights since the first day of school this year. I believe in this community, and I do my part to improve the lives of the people in our community. My family along with my car club Knights of Valhalla have been part of the Middletown Community Thanksgiving Project for the past 6 years. Also, for the last 8 years, my family and the car club have done a toy drive where we've given toys to hundreds of needy families in the community. If you shop at Big Lots in town we are out there from Thanksgiving to the week before Christmas collecting.
I want to see our school district listening to Parents’ Voices, supporting our School’s Security, and seeing Transparency across all platforms within Middletown’s School District.
