Buddha's Birthday Event

Sunday morning practice and special holiday event at the Buddhist Faith Fellowship

Celebrate Flower Festival, known as Hana-masturi, which honors the birth of the historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama over 2,500 years ago. Come and join us in our multimedia presentation of the birth story and learn about the basic teachings of the Buddha, wash and offer flowers to the baby Buddha, listen to sacred chants, music and more. Bring flower(s) to offer to the baby Buddha on the altar. This community event is perfect for new to Buddhism, families and friends.

Also, for our Flower Festival event, please bring a flower(s) to place on the altar in front of the baby Buddha during the ceremony. Also, if you are welcome to bring snacks, a Buddha cake, Bodhi lead cookies, brownies and non-alcoholic drinks. Let us know if you are bringing something to share.

A short Introduction to Meditation Training session will be held before the gathering at 9:45 a.m.
