The City of Middletown has scheduled its annual Fireworks Festival for Saturday, June 27, with festivities planned along the city's riverfront.
According to the city's event calendar, the festival will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at locations on DeKoven Drive and Harbor Drive. A live fireworks display is scheduled for 9 p.m. and admission is free. 
The event will take place at 245 DeKoven Drive and 80 Harbor Drive in Middletown. Organizers have listed a contact phone number for the event and said no fees will be charged to attend.

Middlesex County Historical Society

ARTFARM invites you to “Women of Wisdom”, a Tea and Community Dialog celebrating the voices of octogenarian women, on June 27 at the Middlesex County Historical Society.&nbsp;

The event will take place outdoors from 1 to 3 pm behind the Historical Society, which is located at 151 Main Street in Middletown. Tea and snacks will be served, and ARTFARM Executive Artistic Director Marcella Trowbridge will initiate the dialog by posing a few conversation-stimulating questions to the panel of impactful local women. A free-ranging discussion will follow on life, aging, what matters, and what you wish you knew when you were younger.

ARTFARM, a Middletown-based non-profit professional theater company, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026. The company staged Shakespeare’s Argument in the garden of the Historical Society in 2001, and since that time has offered dozens of Shakespeare productions, original plays, circuses and events to the local community as well as touring throughout New England, to Europe and to Sri Lanka. ARTFARM cultivates high-quality theater with a commitment to simple living, environmental sustainability and social justice and is dedicated to presenting professional classic and original theater and circus, modeling and promoting sustainable living, offering workshops, performance opportunities, expressive and healing arts and other educational programs to adults and young people in the community, and providing education and promoting community dialog through and with the performing arts.&nbsp;
The company is currently in rehearsal for an expansive and immersive original production which will be performed at Indian Hill Cemetery in September.

“Women of Wisdom” is a unique opportunity to share the knowledge of some of the special older women in our community, and is also a fund raiser to celebrate ARTFARM’s 25th Birthday. Tickets for the event are on a sliding scale from $25 - $80 and may be purchased at <a href="https://www.art-farm.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">www.art-farm.org</a>. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly recommended. “Women of Wisdom” is presented in partnership with the Middlesex County Historical Society, which is celebrating its 125th Anniversary.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you give yourself time to arrive in-person before the 9 a.m. meeting.
Our Location: Our location is unequaled in Connecticut, which includes quiet sitting meditation in front of the Shôyôan Teien Zen garden and a traditional Japanese style tatami room.
Parking: Free street parking on Washington Terrace but there is also parking on Mt. Vernon Street which is the side street, next to the center.
Meeting Rules: In order to maintain a harmonious and respectful environment, practice kind speech, be courteous, and abstain from talking about current politics or display or wear political or offensive symbols or imagery. Those unable to follow these rules will be asked to promptly leave.
Suggested Donation: $10 -$20 (cash or check) to help cover costs for our Wesleyan expenses, internet services, our extensive outreach efforts, Meetup, and standard operating costs. Checks are payable to BFF of CT. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

No need to register as a spectator, but we'd love for you to introduce yourself - just chat to one of the volunteers or someone showing their car!&nbsp;Want to bring your car? No need to be a member of JCNA to participate. The only requirement is that you are a Jaguar enthusiast! If you are not a JCNA member, you will have to pay an additional $20 fee to cover the event liability insurance that is provided to every JCNA member free of charge. This is included in the registration fees you will be charged when you register.Sunday, June 28th, 9 AM - 3 PM&nbsp;Day-of-Show registrations will NOT be accepted !!!Spectators Are Free!
