CT State Community College Middlesex

Connecticut State Community College (CT State) Middlesex will host a Fall 2026 Open House on November 5 from 4:30–6:30 p.m. for those interested in learning about becoming a CT State student.

Prospective students and their families are welcome to tour the Middletown campus, located at 100 Training Hill Road, and learn about degree and certificate programs, financial aid, the free tuition program and admissions.

Many CT State degree options offer seamless transfer to the four Connecticut state universities and Charter Oak State College, making it the most affordable path to attain a bachelor’s degree in Connecticut. These credits can also be transferred to other public and private colleges in Connecticut and throughout the United States. 

Course registration opens October 26, 2026, for winter session and Spring 2027 credit semester. Accelerated, seven-week fall semester classes begin October 22. Short-term <a href="https://ctstate.edu/workforce-development/wdce#middlesex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">workforce career programs</a> are also available on a rolling basis.

<h3>Finding someone can be painful. But board games are always awesome. So what if you combined board games and searching for a partner?</h3>
Picture this: Check out the vibe at 1741 Pub &amp; Grill at Lyman Orchards Golf Club for a night of games and mingling. You sit down for a night of games. A gaming concierge walks you through several games over the course of the night. You play classics you love and discover brand new games you've never heard of, playing each with a different group of fun singles. Explore the menu and nosh on amazing selections of food and drink, from savory entrees to craft beers that pair perfectly with the fun. At the end of the night, you give your gaming concierge a list of the folks you met that you'd like to date and a list of those you met that you'd like to just hang out with as friends. If any two people put down the same name as each other in either column, then your gaming concierge will make sure you get each other's e-mail address and you can coordinate a time to hang out.&nbsp;Best case scenario: You find true love, discover some awesome board games, and make some new friends.&nbsp;Bad case scenario: You accomplish only one of those three things, which is still pretty great.&nbsp;Worst case scenario: There will be alcohol.&nbsp;Thursday, November 5th from 6 PM - 8 PM

But the goal is for all of them to be fun, light, easy-to-learn games. Selection will include games from both the something-you-have-played-before category and the something-you-haven't-played-before category. The games are also chosen because they often tend to spark conversation and leave room for chatting with new people as you play. All games will be group games, meaning you'll get a chance to meet a handful of people with each new round.

The trio of artists that is The Refugees emerged on the music scene as a verifiably unmatched force of talent, diversity, and experience. Each successful in their own right as a solo artist, Cidny Bullens, Deborah Holland and Wendy Waldman formed their unique and innovative group in 2007 and since that time have been wowing audiences, radio DJs, and music critics alike with their soaring harmonies, indelible musicianship, and unforgettably humorous stage presence.
Individually, The Refugees have logged almost five decades in the industry, with more than twenty solo albums and multiple Grammy Award nominations to their credit, featuring musical styles that blend country, rock, folk, blues and Americana. To describe them as eclectic would be an understatement. These three artists have utilized their intense drive and relentless passions to create an entirely new sound. They have produced four critically acclaimed albums—Unbound, Three, How Far It Goes, and 2024’s gem California. To commemorate The Refugees 20th anniversary, they are releasing a “best of” album that will include several new songs in January 2027.

This is a chance for kids to take the lead while parents sit back and watch them build valuable skills in entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership.
Children must be able to, with minimal adult help:
<ol><li>Complete their prep work</li><li>Take and fulfill orders and answer customer questions</li><li>Take payment and make change</li></ol>
Parents can assist when needed, and children with disabilities or special needs are welcome to participate with any necessary parental assistance.
Children may not sell goods on behalf of their parents. They must have an active role in the acquisition and/or production of their product.
No fundraisers, MLMs or animals are permitted. No refunds or credits will be given for any reason.
