Dear Prime Minister Theresa May:

Find out what's happening in Middletownfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

First we want to apologize to you for the boorish behavior of President Trump. It is inexcusable.

As you are aware there is great controversy in our Country, The United States, about the separation of families at our Southern border.

We have written an appeal to the International Criminal Court. This appeal is below and also attached. We have asked for President Trump to be investigated for crimes against humanity.

We have received a response from the Prosecutor’s office. It was a form response from ICC saying that they may not have jurisdiction because the U.S. never signed the Rome Statute. They did leave room for some loopholes which we will explore.

We would also point out the several criminals like Kony and others convicted of war crimes did not have their countries sign the Rome Statute.

We are writing you because we feel enough public pressure might help them have some second thoughts about investigating this person regardless of jurisdiction issues. We got the impression that enough public pressure can make them reconsider investigating this case.

We are asking you in your busy schedule to use any influence you have, to have the ICC consider this investigation. This influence could range from a telephone call to a news release.

We strongly feel that the continued presence of this man in the Office of the Presidency is a threat to the international order and world peace.

Below is the appeal written to The Hague:

To the Prosecutor:

For the last several weeks the Trump administration has followed a policy of separating children, some of whom are infants, from their families who are seeking asylum in the United States and placing them in detention centers. In some cases they are even placed in cages.

Please investigate as to whether this is a violation of Articles 6, 7, and 8 of the Charter of the International Criminal Court. We believe that this policy is a practice of Genocide, (Article 6), Crimes Against Humanity, (Article 7), and/or War Crimes, (Article 8.)

Specifically, we believe the charges of genocide in Article 6 are in this case:

1. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group
2. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction
3. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group
4. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group
5. Killing members of a group (Recently five individuals were pursued and killed by U.S. Border Guards)

We believe this administration is also guilty of crimes against humanity as specified in Article 7:

1. Deportation, or forcible transfer of population
2. Imprisonment or other severe deprivation of physical liberty
3. Persecution.
4. Enforced disappearance of persons
5. Apartheid
6. Other inhumane acts

We also believe that this administration is guilty of war crimes as defined in Article 8

1. Denying a fair trial
2. Unlawful deportation and transfer
3. Unlawful confinement

Specifically, we asked that the following individuals be charged:

1. Stephen Miller Assistant to the President and the person who is the architect of this policy.
2. Donald J. Trump President of the United States and the one who authorized this policy.
3. Jeffery Sessions, Attorney General who is currently executing this policy.

We thank you for your attention to this serious violation of human rights and urge expeditious investigation of these accusations.
