Car Goes Down Embankment In Middletown
Officials say the incident "had the possibility for disaster" but no injuries were reported.
MIDDLETOWN, CT — No injuries were reported after a vehicle went down an embankment Tuesday afternoon in Middletown, according to fire officials.
The incident, which occurred on lower Laurel Grove Road, was called in by a passing mountain biker. Crews from Engine 2 and Rescue 1 responded to the scene.
“This incident had the possibility for disaster,” officials wrote on the City of Middletown Professional Firefighters Local 1073 Facebook page. “Luckily, there were no injuries. The investigation portion by Middletown Police remains open.”
