Construction Worker Seriously Injured In I-91 Crash In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, CT — In an update, state police have identified the construction worker who was hit by a car Wednesday night on I-91 North as 27-year-old Dillon Peterson, of Vernon, according to NBC Connecticut.

Peterson was hospitalized with what was believed to be serious injuries.

At about 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, two cars vehicles collided near the beginning of the construction zone and one of the cars then crossed into the project area where Peterson was putting out orange cones and safety signs, according to FOX 61.

A portion of the highway near Exits 20 and 21 on I-91 North in Middletown was closed for several hours as state troopers investigated the crash.
