Cat Tales shares a story about Tippy
Tippy is a Special Needs kitty looking for Adoption or a Permanent Foster Home

TIPPY'S STORY
Tippy came to Cat Tales as a 4-day-old orphan in July of 2018. For most of his first 6 months of life he had numerous veterinary visits for chronic diarrhea. He went to a specialist for an ultrasound and colonoscopy w/ biopsy where they discovered he has a shortened colon and some inflammation. His diagnoses are being managed with a diet regimen of Hill's Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal Biome, wet and dry and he takes daily medication, Prednisolone + Gabapentin in the AM and Gabapentin in the PM. Both are available in liquid or pill form and he takes both fairly well. A rough cost estimate is about $16.00/month (plus shipping/taxes).
Our Vet's assessment is that his condition is stable. The only action required are his daily meds and his special diet. On occasion, he has an episodes where he has spasms/cramps – he’ll hiss or give out a long cry. Avoid handling him at this time and it will pass.

His personality is awesome! He is an incredibly sweet kitty who will most likely sleep with you at night and follow you around during the day. He could be with a family who has older children but generally needs a quiet household, possibly with other cats but not dogs.
IMPORTANT: TIPPY WILL NEED TIME TO ADJUST. When he gets stressed he may poop just outside his litter box (not around the house). For the person or family willing to take him, please be willing to give him a chance to get familiar with you and his new surroundings - relationships take time and this one will certainly be worth it!
