"Celebrate Jesus Gala & Expo" to be held on Saturday, October 28

Annual banquet at the Aqua Turf Club attracts Christ-followers from across the State

WIHS 104.9 FM, a commercial-free, listener-supported, non-profit Christian radio station based in Middletown, will hold its annual “Celebrate Jesus Gala & Expo” banquet fundraiser on Saturday, October 28 from 4:30 to 9:15 pm. The event will be held at the Aqua Turf Club, 556 Mulberry Street. Tickets, display space and sponsorships are available.

The event will feature an exposition area with displays by 30 ministries from across Connecticut and a family-style banquet emceed by popular drive-time morning host Gerry Williams. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Steve Brown, Founder of Key Life Network based in Maitland, Florida. Brown’s messages are heard on radio stations across the United States, including WIHS. He was originally scheduled to speak at last year's banquet, but had to cancel at the last minute due to Hurricane Ian.

Operated by Connecticut Radio Fellowship, the call letters W-I-H-S stand for We’re In His Service. Staffed by 23 full- and part-time employees, the “live and local” station has provided listeners with hope and encouragement 24/7 since October of 1969.
