City Ghost Hunter to Probe Bermuda's Most Haunted House

Paranormal investigator Kurt Knapp of the Middletown-based Ghosts of New England Research Society plans to visit the haunted home of author John Cox.

 

City paranormal investigator traveled to Bermuda in June and agreed to return to look into the reportedly haunted home of Bermudian historian and author John Cox, according to an article in the Bermuda Sun.

Knapp, lead investigator, just finished filming an episode for the Discovery Channel’s "A Haunting" along with the crew of his Middletown-based Ghosts of New England Research Society.

"The Bermuda investigation will take place sometime in November," Knapp says. "We have an associate there, making arrangements for lodging and local transportation."

Director Jeff Fine and the GONERS crew wrapped up filming in Meriden in mid-June. His crew comprises Rocky Hill investigator psychic-medium Karen Hollis, and Middletown residents: investigator Melanie Knapp (Kurt's daughter), investigator Matthew East (her husband); and investigator, tech manager William (Billy J.) Jenkins investigator Patrick Murphy; web designer (and Karen's husband) Mark Hollis, and auxiliary team member Tom Hummel; and auxiliary team members Kellie Gilbert of Manchester and Lisa Langelier.

Knapp says the episode is about the haunting of Ryder's on Main, a restaurant on West Main Street in Meriden and the GONERS's investigation of it. The episode will air in the series fifth season, beginning in October.
