MIDDLETOWN, CT — A landmark classic diner perched for years at one end of Main Street in Middletown, if up for sale.
O'Rourke's Diner at 798 Main Street in Middletown closed to retirement in 2023. It is now listed on both the Berkshire Hathaway website as being available. The price tag is $429,000.
It was recognized for its breakfasts in the Connecticut Magazine Best Restaurants awards. It was also featured on the hit Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."

O'Rourke's was also the home of the famed steamed cheeseburger.
The classic 1946 Mountain View Dining Car measures 1,420 square feet. There is also an additional 1,420 square feet in the basement, according to the listing.
