College Notes: Accomplishments By Middletown Students

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Here are some of the recent accomplishments of Middletown residents attending various colleges and universities.

Katherine Cawley, of Middletown, graduated with a B.S. degree in general psychology from James Madison University during commencement exercises in December. Cawley was among more than 1,000 students who received undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Loribelle Custodio Valdez, of Middletown, earned a master of science degree in transformational leadership from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Valdez was one of more than 8,358 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the fall. Graduates came from all 50 states, three U.S. territories, and 24 countries.

Among those on the Southern New Hampshire University Fall 2023 Dean's List are Austin Coyne and Brynlee Beaucage of Middletown. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List.

More than 1,000 students have been recognized for academic excellence for the fall semester at Stonehill College, including Victoria Caruolo and Kaleigh Nunes, of Middletown. To qualify for the honor, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered.
