The City’s spring Backyard Composting workshop will be held at Russell Library on Thursday, March 19 at 6:30 in the Hubbard Room of Russell Library. We have two experienced UConn Master Composters joining us, Tom Kalal and Hetti Motoc. Come learn about backyard composting and worm composting! Bring your questions!
The City will be hosting a Community Backyard Compost Bin and Rain Barrel Sale again this year. The on line store will be open by early March. Pick up date will be Sunday May 17th.
If backyard composting isn’t for you, the City has a drop off for food scraps at the Recycling Center. More information can be found here: https://www.middletownct.gov/1074/Food-Scraps-at-the-Recycling-Center.
