Connecticut's Nick Fradiani Auditioning for American Idol 2015
Middletown Idol fans, take note: The singer/songwriter auditioned in N.Y. and his footage will appear on American Idol this week.
This isn’t Guilford-grown Nick Fradiani’s first time at the reality TV rodeo. He auditioned for America’s Got Talent last year with his Beach Avenue bandmates, performing original songs.

His band was eliminated at the beginning of the competition but that didn’t dampen Fradiani’s spirits — he’s back in the reality TV game again, this time going solo onAmerican Idol.

American Idol’s New York auditions will air at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, on FOX, and footage of Fradiani will be shown, the Hartford Courant reports.

Connecticut (and at least one person in Massachusetts) already supports its potential American Idol contestant, sharing messages of support on Fradiani’s Facebook fan page.

So far, Fradiani has personally replied to nearly every message of support and expressed his thanks and gratitude.
“It’s going to be a great season, and I can’t wait for everyone to see what’s been going on,” he said.
