Convicted Felon Arrested On Drug, Gun Charges: Middletown Police
The man is accused of operating a drug factory out of his apartment in Middletown, according to police.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A convicted felon was arrested on drug and gun charges after police executed a search warrant at his apartment in Middletown last week, according to officials.
Police executed a search warrant in the 200 block of George Street on Feb. 9. During a joint operation with the New Britain Special Investigations Unit, Middletown detectives learned that Ashley Dunbar was trafficking narcotics throughout Connecticut, and particularly in Middletown and New Britain, according to a news release.
During the search, detectives found approximately 107 grams of fentanyl, 30.6 grams of cocaine, crack cocaine, and a crack cocaine/fentanyl mix, multiple MDMA and prescription narcotic pills, drug packaging materials and bags, scales, cutting agents, narcotic sales equipment and paraphernalia, multiple cell phones, and a large amount of cash, according to police.

Detectives also found a black Smith and Wesson 9mm semi-automatic handgun loaded with eight live rounds of ammunition, according to police.
Police said Dunbar is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Dunbar, 38, of Middletown, was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of narcotics, three counts of sale of narcotic substance, and one count each of possession with intent to sell, criminal possession of firearm, criminal possession of firearm/ammunition by convicted felon, use of drug paraphernalia and operation of drug factory.
He was being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond with a court date of March 7, according to state judicial records.
