Convicted Felon Had 13 Guns, Long Rifle, 2,000 Bullets at Home: Middletown Police
Police searched the home after the man's live-in girlfriend reported that he said he would harm himself with a gun.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Middletown man, who is a convicted felon, faces new charges after police say he was found to be in the possession of 13 guns and a long rifle at his home, along with 2,000 bullets, and was in violation of his probation and state laws.
Middletown Police searched the Lindsey Road home after Vincent L. Davis Jr., 53, told his live-in girlfriend that he would “blow his brains out” with a gun, according to the police report. The girlfriend also told authorities that Davis had a gun in the house, police said.
Police said Davis, of Lindsey Road, was convicted July 19, 2011 on charges of sixth-degree larceny, third-degree burglary and theft of a firearm. He was also convicted of violation of a protective order in 2014, according to the report.

As a convicted felon on probation, Davis had to surrender all of the firearms he possessed, according to police.
Police responded to the Connecticut Adult Probation Office in Middletown on Dec. 1 to assist while Davis was being interviewed following the report from the live-in girlfriend on Nov. 30 that he had a gun in the house.

After meeting with his probation officer, Davis granted permission to search his vehicle and his Lindsey Road home.
At the home, Adult Probation found 13 hand guns (.44 and .45 caliber), one long rifle (.50 caliber) and 2,000 live bullets and turned them over to the Middletown Police Department, according to the report.
Davis was arrested on 13 counts of criminal possession of a firearm and one count each of criminal possession of a firearm (long gun/rifle) and criminal possession of bullets. He was held on bond and remains in custody with a court date of Dec. 13, according to state judicial records.
