Lanes Reopen After Serious Crash On I-91 In Middletown: UPDATE

MIDDLETOWN, CT —UPDATE: All lanes have reopened after a serious crash with injuries on I-91 in Middletown. A portion of I-91 South was temporarily closed as state troopers investigated the crash. Lanes were closed for about two hours. The crash occurred around 11 a.m. between Exits 20 and 19 on I-91 South in Middletown.

The Westfield Fire Department responded to the scene of a car vs. box truck crash with extrication required, according to officials. The Cromwell Fire Department and LifeStar also responded to the scene.

There was no immediate word on injuries sustained in the crash.
