Cromwell Police Investigation Leads To Child Porn Arrest
A man is accused in Croimwell of accumulating child pornography.

CROMWELL, CT — Cromwell police have made a child porn arrest.
Police said that, on Monday, Michael J. Bouchard 29, surrendered on an outstanding arrest warrant related to the possession of child pornography.
In January of 2025 Cromwell Police Detectives received a complaint regarding Bouchard from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to a news release. Cromwell detectives, in collaboration with Department of Homeland Security Investigators and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, conducted an in-depth investigation and as a result, search warrants were executed at Bouchard's Cromwell residence, according to a news release.

"Forensic examination of the seized devices and further investigation revealed evidence of child pornography," police said.
- Bouchard was charged with:
- First-degree possession of child pornography
- Importing Child Pornography
- Promoting a Minor in an Obscene Performance
Bouchard was released on a $500,000 bond, records show.
