CT School District's Top 2 Administrators Resign

CROMWELL, CT — Cromwell Public Schools superintendent and assistant superintendent resigned after months of controversy.

Superintendent John Maloney Jr. and Assistant Superintendent Krista Karch were placed on leave in December after complaints of a hostile work environment that led to several teachers leaving the district, according to the Middletown Press.

A DVD was sent to Board of Education members showing Maloney kissing Karch, but an independent investigation found no evidence that they were involved in a romantic relationship.

Karch and Maloney met at a restaurant while Karch was still on administrative leave and under an order not to meet with district employees.
