David Booth, MPA For Board Of Education

Why You Should Vote For Me!

(Patch Graphics)

My name is David Booth, and I am a Middletown resident. I have been married to Valerie Booth for 14 years and we have 4 amazing kids together who attend Middletown Public Schools. From a young age I have had strong feelings about education, and I’m now compelled to be apart of the change I feel is necessary for our school district. I keep parents and taxpayers in
mind, not politicians and those not here for the students when debating how schools should be run.

Parents and Taxpayers in Middletown are who the Board of Education should be answering to.
My wife and I are both Marine Corps Veterans who met in Iraq in 2006. We both attended SUNY Brockport, Valerie received a B.S. in Mathematics, and I received a Master’s in Public Administration and a B.S. in Sociology and Criminal Justice.

While attending SUNY Brockport, I was a course instructor teaching the GEP 300 course, Veteran Academic Planning Seminar, providing veterans and service members the resources needed to navigate higher education.

Background:
I currently work for the Federal Government as a Government Information Specialist ensuring compliance with federal laws. My wife and I are active scout leaders with Troop 16 and Pack 43 here in Middletown where all 4 of our kids are dedicated scouts.

I am very involved with my kids’ education via parent teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and the never-ending joy of homework, and I would like to take that experience and apply it to helping the whole educational process for all Middletown residents. I vow to work for the people of Middletown to restore Parents’ Voices, School Security, Fiscal Transparency, and Accessibility between the public and school officials that needs to be established and maintained in Middletown.
