Student Activities
- Beginner’s Yoga - Practicing yoga is beneficial to mind, body and spirit. Join Certified Yoga Instructor, Grace Higgins, Mercy Class of 2020, to learn more about this meditative exercise. Wear comfortable clothes. Mats will be provided. Namaste.
- Card Making – Part of being a Mercy Girl is giving service to others! Have fun with current Mercy Students making cards to send to the members of the United States Military who are deployed overseas. Create handmade cards of encouragement to show your support!
- Chemistry of Tie-Dyeing & Simple DNA – Begin with basic instruction in tie-dyeing and then create your own design on a T-shirt. You will take home your custom-made T-shirt. Additionally, with the Strawberry DNA experiment, you'll extract, isolate, and observe the DNA of a strawberry in a matter of minutes. It sounds impossible, but thanks to the special characteristics of strawberries, it's actually possible and very simple!
- Creative Writing - Explore language and word play in this seminar geared toward aspiring writers and avid readers.
- Field Hockey Clinic – Learn the basics of this fast-paced sport. Equipment will be provided. Please wear sneakers.
- French Cuisine – Paris is the city of light, full of cultural icons and art! Participate in an interactive workshop where you will enjoy French cuisine, music and French language.
- Introduction to Italian – Explore conversational Italian and learn about the Italian culture, popular music and participate in a cooking demonstration. Ciao!
- Mad about Math - The first place finishing Mercy Math Team invites you to join them for problem solving, playing games, and getting to know your fellow math-lovers! Donuts will be provided.
- Mini Mock Trial – Serve as jurors on a case and discover how members of Mercy’s Mock Trial Team prepare for a case.
- Musical Dance/Musical Vocal: Musical Dance - Learn the choreography from a scene of the Mercy/Xavier musical production of Mamma Mia! with one of the directors and cast. Musical Vocal - Learn a song from the Mercy/Xavier Mamma Mia! production with the musical director and cast. Please wear comfortable shoes. This choice will count as two sessions.
- Theater Arts Workshop - Join us for this fun interactive theater workshop which will include theater games, improvisation and scene study and having fun connecting with each other through theater!

During the time your daughter is enjoying Discover Mercy Day, you are invited to visit us as well! You will have the opportunity to participate in your choice of the following sessions:

- Parent-to-Parent – Current Parents Answer your Questions
- School Tour – Join Mercy Students on a Guided Tour of the Campus
- Pre-registration for parental sessions is not necessary.
