Expelled Wesleyan Student Arrested After Trespassing at Campus Festival; Police

Police arrested a former student who was previously arrested and expelled following a mass Molly overdose on campus.

Police arrested a former Wesleyan University student who had been expelled after he was allegedly caught trespassing on campus.

Eric Lonergan, 21, was recently expelled from the school and was ordered on Feb. 24 not to be on university property, according to a police report. His previous arrest and expulsion came after police launched an investigation following a mass Molly overdose at the university that left a dozen people in the hospital.

Police arrested Lonergan on April 18 after he was caught attending a festival on campus in direct violation of a no trespass order, police said. Public safety officials noticed him at the festival and had police arrest him.

Lonergan was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and was held in lieu of $5,000 bail.

He was previously was charged with possession of a controlled substance and 16 counts of supplying illegal drugs in February.
