Falling Tree Kills Eversource Worker In Middletown: Police
The employee had just completed a repair at the time of the fatal accident.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Tragic news to share as an Eversource subcontractor was killed by a falling tree Sunday, according to Middletown Police.
At 3:17 p.m. today, a subcontractor for Eversource was repairing a line on Millbrook Road. As the repair was completed a tree fell on top of the lineman, causing fatal injuries, police said.
The identity of the victim according to reports is Lonnie Duffy, of East Haddam. The Middletown Police Department spent hours on scene Sunday. Millbrook Road in the area of 1233 was closed for several hours.
