Flags-Out At State Veterans Cemetery Middletown

Saturday, November 16th starting at 9:00am

VFW Post 583 is asking for help and assistance on Saturday, November 16, 2019, starting at 9:00am sharp at the Veterans Cemetery located on Bow Lane in Middletown to remove and store approximately 10,000 American Flags that were installed on 9 November, in honor the Veterans that are laid to rest there. Veteran groups, Youth Groups, Public and Community Organizations, and individuals that would like to assist in honoring and remembering those Veterans who served our Country are welcome to show that their sacrifices are “NEVER FORGOTTEN”.

Youth groups are especially welcome to assist us in the removal and storage of the flags.

You do not need to register or call, just please show up by 9:00 am for the 9:00am start time on Saturday, November 16th RAIN OR SHINE, OR SNOW....

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO PRESENT CONSTRUCTION IN THE CEMETERY, A SMALL AREA MAY BE CLOSED OFF THAT DAY AND CEMETERY PERSONNEL WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FLAG REMOVAL THERE. NO PUBLIC ACCESS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THAT AREA THAT DAY.
