
Girls in Science provides opportunities for girls and young women to explore their interests in science and develop critical skills to be used in their scientific pursuits and beyond.
The program features a 1-week summer camp which fosters inquiries in science via experiments, interactive activities, and trips.
- Who: Girls going into Grades 4, 5, and 6 can apply
- What: 2019 Girls in Science Summer Camp
- Where: Exley Science Center, Wesleyan University Campus
- When: August 5-9, 2019 from 8:30am-4:00 pm each day with a Science Showcase on Friday at 4:30 pm
- Why: "At the beginning of camp, I thought science was just for boys. Now I know science is for girls too."
- Cost: $375 for the week. A $50 non-refundable deposit up front to reserve the space is due when the participant is accepted. Remaining $325 will be due on July 22nd. Full and partial scholarships available. Breakfast and lunch are provided each day.
