Good Samaritans Go ‘Above And Beyond’ To Help Scared Dog
The Middletown Animal Control is thanking several Good Samaritans for their help with reuniting a scared Chihuahua with her family.

MIDDLETOWN, CT — We are pleased to report on a “happy tail” out of Middletown on Thursday night in which four Good Samaritans helped the animal control reunite a scared Chihuahua with her family. Read the full recap from the Middletown Animal Control below:
“This evening I was dispatched to Newfield Pizza on Newfield Street for a little dog running in and out of traffic. When I arrived there were three women and one gentleman who were trying to catch this poor little scared Chihuahua. She was so scared she just kept running down Newfield Street. We were finally able to get her off the main road and behind Newfield Pizza were I tried to catch her with a net, but she got away and ran into the woods by the power lines. Just when I thought there was no hope, I spotted her coming out of the tall grass on the power lines. I was finally able to trap her in some brush and catch her in a net with the help of Nick.
“I want to say thank you to the three women, and I am sorry I did not catch their names, but they know who they are, and to Nick for helping me catch this sweet scared little girl. You went above and beyond to help this dog, and without you I do not believe I would have caught her. So again thank you, and know it was appreciated!

“On a happy note, this little girl had a microchip and I was able to reunite her with her family. Her name is ‘Tinker Bell’ and she is terrified of thunder, she escaped from their enclosed back yard during the storm. The family also wanted me to thank you.”
