Happy Easter April 4, 2021 & Happy Passover!

What is Easter? According to Britannica.com's article about "Easter" written by Hans J. Hillerbrand he wrote that Easter "...which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his Crucifixion."

What is Passover? According to Britannica.com article's "Passover" the holiday commemorates "... the Hebrews’ liberation from slavery in Egypt and the “passing over” of the forces of destruction, or the sparing of the firstborn of the Israelites, when the Lord “smote the land of Egypt” on the eve of the Exodus.” Passover begins on Saturday, March 27th and ends on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Passover Services At Adath Israel Synagogue In Middletown: According to Rabbi Nelly Altenburger of the Adath Israel Synagogue she stated “Adath Israel has morning services for Passover. Due to COVID-19 concerns we are meeting over Zoom. The information for services can be found in our website, www.adathisraelct.org.

Holy Saturday, April 3rd: Easter Vigil Mass At Saint Sebastian’s Church 8 p.m.

Easter Sunday, April 4th:

Solemn Masses: 9 a.m. Mass at Saint John’s Church.

11 a.m. & 5 p.m. Masses at Saint Sebastian’s Church.
