Herbert Eckersley and Fred Hall

Middletown WWI Heroes

The Eckersley-Hall Building building at 61 Durant Terrace is named after Herbert Eckersley and Fred Hall, two World War I Heroes of Middletown who died in combat.

The Building which is now Middletown's Recreation and Community Services which includes the Senior and Community Center facilities. The building was originally St. Sebastian School until the Norwich Diocese closed the school. In 2012 the building was added to the state Register of Historic Places!
