DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS – MIDDLETOWN CHAPTER #7 DAY!

10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.Volunteers from the Disabled American Veterans – Middletown Chapter #7 will be staffing the POPCORN & HOT PRETZELS stand in front of the Chamber and HOLIDAY MUSIC will be provided by Harvest Woods Audio
  • 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Greet SANTA and enjoy FREE HORSE & WAGON RIDES!
  • 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – THE FUN TRAIN will offer FREE RIDES on the sidewalk around the downtown throughout the day!
  • 10:30 a.m – 1:30 p.m. – FREE RIDES for children & adults on two mechanical animals – RUDOLPH, the Red-Nosed Reindeer & LUCY, the Polar Bear…bring your camera!
  • 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m – PETTING FARM from JD’s Pony Express of Killingworth – Visit the animals on Main Street, located by the crosswalk in front of Holy Trinity Church! Animals include:
  • Sheep
  • Goats
  • A Miniature Donkey
  • A Rabbit
  • A Domestic Deer
  • 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Webster Bank’s 10th Annual Giving Tree (363 Main St) will benefit the Amazing Grace Food Pantry. For a list of accepted non-perishable donations needed, please contact Amy Glowka at 860-638-6906 or aglowka@websterbank.com Drop off times are M-W 9am-3pm and Th/F 9am-5pm. On Saturdays, donations may be brought to Middlesex Chamber.
  • 12 noon -2:00 p.m.VOCALIST ALEKSANDRA SZCZYGIEL sings your favorite holiday songs outside of Middlesex Music Academy (440 Main St.) WITH PIANIST PHILIP DEFAZIO. Sing along or request your favorite holiday song!
  • 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. – The HOLIDAY BUS, courtesy of Middletown Area Transit, will provide FREE RIDES around the Downtown! Catch the bus in front of the Church of the Holy Trinity (381 Main St) and travel around to do holiday shopping and attend events!
  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.HOLIDAY STORY TIME will be at Broad Street Books (45 Broad St), where Santa Claus will read stories. At the end of the reading, there will be books for sale and a “Book Signing” by Santa, sponsored by Broad Street Books, Middletown. Bring your camera!.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – All Aboard for Amato’s Toy & Hobby 6TH ANNUAL HOLIDAY TRAIN EXHIBIT! Relive childhood memories and make new ones at Amato’s Holiday Model Train Display! Don’t miss this interactive family friendly event! See the operating layouts and view the one of kind model train and toy collection in the lower level of Amato’s Toy and Hobby, 395 Main St, Middletown. Admission is free with a donation of a bag of nonperishable food items for the Amazing Grace Food Pantry (help us help our neighbors in need!) The Train Exhibit is also open on Sunday, December 20th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.HOLIDAY STORY TIMESCOOBY DOO will be at Broad Street Books (45 Broad St), where Santa Claus will read stories. At the end of the reading, there will be books for sale and a “Book Signing” by Scooby Doo, sponsored by Broad Street Books, Middletown. Bring your camera!
  • 3:00 p.m.MIDDLESEX MUSIC ACADEMY PIANO / VOICE RECITAL – The students of Aleksandra Szczygiel will be showcasing the skills and talents they have acquired in their lessons. These students have spent many hours in lessons and at home practicing and are looking forward to showing off what they can do! The event is open to all who wish to attend. The recital will be held at Sweet Harmony Cafe & Bakery at 330 Main Street.
  • 4:30 p.m.MIDDLESEX MUSIC ACADEMY PIANO RECITAL – The students of Kevin Wyman will be showcasing the skills and talents they have acquired in their lessons. These students have spent many hours in lessons and at home practicing and are looking forward to showing off what they can do! The event is open to all who wish to attend. The recital will be held at Sweet Harmony Cafe & Bakery at 330 Main Street.
