The Middletown Public Works Department has announced the Memorial Day Holiday schedule for the Middletown Recycling Center and the Sanitation District Collection.

Recycling Center

The Middletown Recycling Center will be closed Monday, May 30, in honor of Memorial Day. It will be open Saturday, May 28, from 7 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Sanitation District

The Sanitation District will not be collecting residential trash and recycling on Monday, May 30. Both trash and recycling will be picked up for Monday and Tuesday customers on Tuesday morning, May 30. Carts should be put out Monday evening.

The Sanitation District will only pick up the items that fit in the cart. Excess recyclables, including large corrugated boxes, can be brought to the Recycling Center at no charge. Food waste can also be segregated and brought to the Recycling Center or 675 Randolph Road at no charge. Food waste must be loose or in BPI certified compostable bags or paper bags. No plastic bags or containers.
