NEW BRITAIN, CT — The body of a 41-year-old Middletown man - who had been shot in the chest - was found in New Britain's Stanley Quarter Park Tuesday morning, and police have launched a homicide investigation into the death.

Donzie Taylor was found at about 7:47 a.m. near the baseball field and skateboard park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

"The New Britain Police Department has no previous history with Taylor and there appears to be no nexus between Taylor and the area where he was located," police wrote in a Facebook post.
